Sacramento Pizza Review of Romas Pizzeria

July 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Roma’s Pizzeria is an authentic Italian-style pizza joint located at 8491 Folsom Blvd in Sacramento, CA. They make a fine deep dish or thin crust pizza. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00am to 10:00pm. After 41 reviews, Roma’s Pizzeria scored 4 out of 5 stars overall. It’s a great place for group events, but they do not take reservations and do not deliver. You can call 916-383-9264 to order take out, or ask how busy they are.
As I walked up I noticed they have wheelchair access, a private parking lot, but no outdoor seating. There is beer and wine available, but it is not a bar environment. It’s a family place good for kids. They also have waiters to cater to your needs.
Here are a couple reviews from real customers:
“The White Pizza with tomato and basil was soooo good. The crust was perfection as well. A large pizza for $17 is very well priced and between four people we had a hard time eating it all (and my husband can really put it away!) I like the fact that you can buy soda or beer by the half or whole pitcher. Even though it’s out of the way for me, it’s definitely worth the drive.”
“Great wood oven pie, The best I’ve eaten in Sacramento so far. My only complaint is when I order a mushrooms & olives they don’t put enough mushrooms. The sauce is great and they put just enough cheese, the crust is yummy and I get my pizza cooked correctly every time. The toppings are great too they even offer Linguia on your pizza.”
“I haven’t been to Italy, but I like this place because 1) the food is real, 2) the service is good, 3) its near home, and 4) it has a great neighborhood atmosphere. I’ve only been there for dinner and often on a Friday evening. You’ll find families with kids, big groups, small groups, all kinds of folks eating here.”
“Homestyle Italian food done right. Eat here and forget that Olive Garden ever existed. Any of their pizza’s are great, but their White Pizza that’s cheese, sauce, and garlic is phenomenal. Their Italian entrees are equally as good. Awesome lasagna, raviolis, and I’ll echo the praise of the manicotti. I’ve been to Italy. Trust me, this is what it tastes like.”
“Probably the best pizza in Sac right now. I’ve tried some of the pizza joints in the Sacramento magazine and they just don’t compare to Roma’s. The key to a good pizza is the sauce and the dough.”
These reviews reflect my experience as well. If you like Italian pizza done right and a nice environment, check out this little gem of Sacramento called Roma’s Pizzeria.
